In the Belle Epoque, the expression "étrangler un perroquet" (strangle a parrot) was synonymous with 'drinking a glass of absinthe'. So Absinthe Perroquet was developed from a historical point of view. It is distilled according to an old French recipe and colored with herbs. Interestingly, the old recipe did not have to be adapted to meet today's regulations. Absinthe Perroquet impressively proves that real absinthe is back again, despite having been degraded for so long and seemingly buried forever.
