During a joint master class tour through Germany, Martin Zufanek told me that it was only after he had tried our absinthe Duplais Verte that he came up with the idea of making it himself to produce absinthe. We are of course very honored by that and we are all the more pleased to see that Martin Zufanek's absinthes are playing at the top international level. I would go so far as to say that in the Czech Republic there is actually only him as a manufacturer worth mentioning in terms of quality.

Our family business ZUSY Ltd was founded in 2000 by Marcela and Josef Zufanek with their sons Martin, Josef and Jan. The aim was to establish a distillery that produces traditional, but above all natural fruit brandies such as slivovitz, pear schnapps and absinthe. It's about making quality spirits that we would buy and enjoy ourselves. That's why we only use our own fruit, organically grown in the protected areas of the White Carpathians. Little by little, new products such as pear schnapps, apricot schnapps, juniper schnapps, walnut liqueur, cherry liqueur, herbal liqueurs, beer brandies and barrel-aged schnapps were added to our original Slivovitz. We are also the first distillery in the Czech Republic to distil absinthe using classic, traditional recipes. Our motto is "100% natural products" as we are strictly against artificial flavors and artificial colors! Our products are only produced in limited quantities - as far as the harvest allows. We firmly believe that you value our products as much as we do.
