Tasting Category: Absinthe - Switzerland - 60-72%
Country: Switzerland Alcohol % : 60%
Old green with golden reflections. Initial aromas of alpine herbs with anis and fennel more obvious. Slow forming louche produced thick, greenish, milky fluid with tints of blue and amber. Addition of the cold water released strong aromatics similar to initial nose but building into more dramatic climax. Fine, well made product.

Excellent service, great absinthe
I was a little wary of ordering from abroad, but even though I\'ve struggled to understand the emails and such like I have to commend your service, my absinthe was delivered to the UK within 5 days of ordering (2 of which were weekend days!).
The actual absinthe was the first \'expensive\',\'proper\' absinthe I had bought, after a few goes with Czech versions. I have to say this is a completely different drink, far more palatable and much better overall.
The louche with this is great, milky white, tinged with green and yellows...
The sensation in the mouth is creamy and smooth. You could easily forget that you are drinking strong alcohol (although weaker than other absinthes).
I found that the taste changed as I got down the glass, using about a 3:1 water combination over sugar. It ranged from woody to anise to fruity and once in the throat you got the absinthe kick.
Overall I\'d recommend this absinthe, especially, if like me, you\'re new to it and not an over the top snob / connoisseur.
