Product information "Tschin"
In the Swiss Fricktal (only about 10km from the German border) the juniper has been called Reckholder for centuries. It is often used in the kitchen to flavor or smoke fish and meat.
When Ruedi Käser developed his Tschin, he discovered the great potential of the Reckholder from the Fricktal forests. With Fricktaler cherry blossoms and all kinds of exotic fruits and spices from all over the world, a gin with a typical regional character was created.
The slow distillation and subsequent maturation period ensure that the Tschin, which is also visually appealing, is very round, harmonious and, above all, authentic.

Käsers Schloss
Ruedi Käser started the distillery himself in 1995. The trigger was the devastating verdict of an expert from a jury: "not drinkable" from a fire that he had burned outside the previous year. Shortly thereafter, he received first prize for his single-variety brandy made from Bernese rose apples. Further awards followed. The fact that it also won the "World Spirit Award 2004" and has already been awarded the national "Food Industry Innovation Prize" six times by the federal government should only be mentioned in passing. With the success grew the ambition to process everything into distillates that could somehow be distilled. Many thought he was crazy when he even started experimenting with poppy seeds, thyme, geraniums, cinnamon, chocolate, garlic and other ingredients. In 2002 he achieved overall victory at the Destillata in Vienna, the most important fine brandy fair in Europe. With more than a hundred different types of schnapps, the Swiss is also unbeatable when it comes to variety. But Käser's desire to experiment knows no bounds. When the Swiss spirits market was liberalized in 1999 and grain schnapps was allowed to be distilled, Elfinger was one of the first to rise to the challenge. But even here he sticks to the motto of producing a niche product with an unmistakable aroma. Therefore, whiskey production is limited to a maximum of 10,000 liters in numbered series. When the whiskey goes on sale, its maturation period is far from over, but the quality can already be characterized.
