Raspberries hold too little sugar to be fermented sensibly. So they are steeped in alcohol and then distilled — a "Geist". The result: the fresh, aromatic berry brought into the glass clear and undisguised.

The Geist preserves exactly what defines the raspberry: its bright, perfumed aroma. Not dark depth, but radiant freshness — as intense as biting into a berry just picked.
Aroma & taste
Intense, fresh raspberry on the nose, floral and clear. Dry and aromatic on the palate, the berry positively glowing, the finish long and fragrant. No liqueur, no sugar — only fruit.
How to enjoy it
Neat and well chilled at around 14–16 °C — a Geist may be served a little cooler than a fruit brandy, which underlines its freshness. An elegant digestif.

His aim is simple to state and hard to achieve: preserve the character of a fruit in its original form and concentrate it in the glass — until aroma, colour and taste become one. Nothing added from the outside, no shortcuts. Only the best raw fruit, carefully handled.
Single-variety by conviction
The range holds over 100 different fruit brandies and liqueurs. Hiebl specialises in single-variety distillation — especially of apples and pears — so each variety keeps its own character instead of disappearing into a blend.
Craft Distillery of the Year 2026
At Craft Spirits Berlin 2026, Europe's most important competition for craft spirits, Hiebl prevailed against 120 distilleries from 17 nations to take the overall title: Craft Distillery of the Year 2026. From 47 entries came four "Best in Class" golds, plus 19 further gold, 20 silver and 8 bronze medals — on top of several earlier "Distiller of the Year" honours.
