With the Guyana 2004 High Proof Rum, you're pouring an exceptional rum that impressively reflects Guyana's renowned heritage. This limited small-batch bottling was created under the signature of Velier and stands for uncompromising quality, transparency, and authentic rum enjoyment.
This rum is a Single Blended Rum, composed of several selected distillates, the youngest of which was distilled in 2004. The rum was aged for many years in a tropical climate, resulting in intensive cask development and an enormous concentration of aromas.
The aroma reveals dark molasses, roasted coffee, cocoa, and spicy wood notes. On the palate, the rum is powerful and full-bodied: toffee, mocha, dried fruit, and oak spice combine with a pleasant depth and a long finish. Despite its strength, it remains balanced and elegant.
Bottled at 50% ABV, without added coloring or chill filtration, the original character is fully preserved. This is precisely what makes this bottling so appealing to lovers of honest, unadulterated rums.
