The "Absinthe Purple Haze" from the SaarWhisky distillery is a unique red absinthe, created from traditional herbs that are typically used in absinthe production. After distillation, additional maceration occurs with dried hibiscus flowers, which give the drink its characteristic red color. Particularly remarkable is the transformation into a deep purple when water is added, which gives the absinthe its name "Purple Haze". In terms of taste, this absinthe is characterized by a sweet herbal note, with the floral accents of the hibiscus blossom particularly standing out.

However, please note that due to the natural coloring, the red color of absinthe may fade over time to a golden amber with red hues. Similarly, the purple louche color changes to an impressive white with pink tones. These color changes are a natural process and do not affect the quality of the absinthe.
