This recipe was invented before the ban and then distilled in secret. With legalization nothing has changed in its delicate character and soft body and it still tastes the same as it did in 1898 when the original recipe was new.

Behind the name Gaudentia Persoz is the first female distiller in Switzerland. It belongs to the Persoz Distillery family. It is based in Couvet in the Val-de-Travers, where the origins of absinthe can also be found.
The Persoz distillery produces its absinthes according to the original tradition and distills them in old, hidden stills.
