Wilhelm Heinrich, Prince of Saarbrücken-Nassau, was mummified after his death in 1786 with a selection of herbs including saintwort, chamomile, coriander, lavender, privet , laurel, mint, rosemary, sage, wormwood, meadow grass and hyssop. These herbs also form the basis of this absinthe.

The absinthe was produced through a careful hand maceration process and subsequent distillation. A second maceration process resulted in the green color and an intense flavor.
