Absinthe Francois Guy is a testament to a rich history of passion and collaboration. In the early 1900s, Florentin Cousin, a cheesemaker from Champagnole, provided Armand Guy with financial support, enabling him to set up a distillery on Rue des Lavaux in Pontarlier. In return for his support, the absinthe produced bore Cousin's name. As managing director, Armand Guy led the distillery to remarkable success. After the loan was fully repaid, Florentin Cousin separated from Armand Guy in 1906 and founded his own distillery in Champagnole. The legacy of Cousin Jeune Absinthe continued through the generations: Ernest Cousin produced around 120,000 bottles annually in Francbourg.
