William Hinton has come up with a particularly clever process for the finest product line: First, the rum matures in French oak barrels for 6 years. Then it is blended with a rum from the old William Hinton distillery, which is at least 25 years old and which has then been stored in French oak barrels for another 3 years. In the final maturation phase, this blend is placed in an already occupied barrel for another 9 months to give the rum an individual finish.

In terms of taste, the individual components of this rum can be clearly distinguished from one another. The aromas of the more than 25-year-old rum coexist with the aromas of the, in contrast, relatively young 6-year-old rum. The typical aquavita aromas give this rum its individual touch. The finish is extremely long and persistent. The components of the individual aromas fade away harmoniously and very slowly.
