Where can I find the exact thujon contents?
Every Absinthe contains Thujone, however this isn't an indication of quality. Recent scientific studies showed that one has to consume several bottles of Absinthe each day for several years to collect a quantity of Thujone which may have an physical effect on the body. We're sure, you will agree, that you're most likely deadly poisond by alcohol before you will "feel" Thujone.
Please send me a link to a bottle of Absinthe that has Worm Wood in it or the ingredent that makes you hallucinate....Or do you offer that ?
Absinthe is the French word for wormwood. BUT – there is NO Absinthe in the world that makes you hallucinate!!!! This is wishful thinking and misinformation. ABSINTHE DOES NOT CAUSE HALLUCINATIONS!!!!

Does Absinthe make me go blind?
This could happen in the Belle Epoche era. In those days, quality control was a problem for many companies. Absinthe was often stored in lead casks. We now know, that this wasn't a good idea at all. Distilleries today are monitored by the officials very closely, to insure the production of a high quality product. Drinking Absinthe, if you don't drink too much will not harm you. Alcohol is dangerous, but Absinthe is no more dangerous than Vodka.
Do you offer Absinthe without Anise?
No, Absinthe consists of 3 major ingredients: Grande Wormwood, Anise and Fennel. If one is missing, it's not Absinthe.
Can I buy directly?
Sure you can buy here, therefore we've installed the Online-Shop. If you want to pick up goods directly, please call to make arrangements. All parcels are sent by Deutsche Post or Courier. Delivery times vary depending on shipping method and your location.
How many bottles can I order?
We're using 3er, 6er and 12er boxes - this may answer your question - and yes, these boxes are plain, neutral and extremely stabile
Does this mean, I have at least purchase 3 bottels?
No, you may order less than 3 bottles, but maybe want to lower the shipping cost per bottle by purchasing more than just one...
I tried to place and order, but the system tells me that due to technical problems the transaction was declined.
Some Banks block Credit Cards for online business – or international business – or whatever they think it’s worth blocking. Ask your bank to unblock your Credit Card for that particular transaction!
When I login to my accout there's no order although I placed an order a good week ago.
As soon as your order is successfully submitted, you'll immediately receive an order confirmation by e-mail including all order details. If you have not reveived this, there's no order. Most likely you have not submitted the order at step 4 of the order process. You may also have a look at your Credit Card Account and will not find any transaction. Please, place your order again.
I started to place and order till the moment I saw that shipping is so expensive.
Prices can vary a little bit due to currency exchange. US Dollar is very weak since quite a while, so products from Europe are more expensive for you now. Courier shipping is the one and only option forwarding our products. Their service is maybe not cheap, but they are 100% reliable and extremely fast. We prefer offering best service instead of cheap service. We just charge what we are charged. Unfortunately there’s no way to lower these costs.
If I do order it and it is stopped, is there any repercussions to me?
In case customs control the parcel, they take away the content – that’s all. Nothing else happens.
Is it packaged plainly to not draw attention to it?
The parcels are absoluty discreet – nothing “suspicious” on it.
Have you shipped to the U.S. before and had any problems?
Yes we do have a lot happy customers in the U.S. - and there are no problems.

I was wondering if you ship to Canada?
We're terribly sorry, but we don't ship Absinthe to Canada. Postal regulations prohibit transporting alcohol. Also we don't know any other high quality Absinthe vendor offering shipping to Canada.
Do you offer PayPal payment?
Since PayPal kicked out ALL Absinthe vendors some years ago (because they were thinking we are dealing drugs), I'm not offering that anylonger. Btw. we were by far their biggest alcohol dealer at the time...
Onlinetracking sais that papers are wrong - am I still going to receive my order?
Yes, sure - that's normal and you don't have to worry. You will receive your order safe and sound in very short time!
Why should I buy from ABSINTHE.DE?
- This vendor (Markus Lion) has, in my opinion, the widest selection of any vendor on the internet. On the few occaisions where LDF has been out of stock of a type of Jade, Markus usually has it. I've never had a problem with the service. Markus is also very helpful and a connoisseur of absinthe himself. The site also has interesting pictures of many of the distilleries. DD
