Absinthe Duplais Balance is the third and last in the Duplais series. This classic „Verte“ is very priceworthy and excellently balanced – guess the name… The basis is the same as the other Duplais (Verte and Blanche) a formula from the well known book of P.Duplais from the 19th century, which was slightly adjusted. Meaningless to mention that we use the same high quality herbs that we use for the other Duplais products. Worth mentioning is the pale green tint, which is absolutly fantastic. The aroma really opens up when adding icecold water – the delicate fragrance is spreads around the room immediately. No sugar or any other artificials are used.
The name Balance is also a hommage to the far too early gone Jhonn (the spelling is correct this way!) Balance. His Bandmate Peter Christopherson was so kind to give us the artwork for the label. So the circle of Duplais Verte (label David Tibet), Duplais Blanche (label Steven Stapleton and Duplais Balance (label Peter Christopherson) is now closed.

Tasting Category: Absinthe - Switzerland - 60-72%
Award: Silver (Best in Class)
Country: Switzerland Alcohol % : 60%
Judges’ Tasting Notes:
Old green with golden reflections. Initial aromas of alpine herbs with anis and fennel more obvious. Slow forming louche produced thick, greenish, milky fluid with tints of blue and amber. Addition of the cold water released strong aromatics similar to initial nose but building into more dramatic climax. Fine , well made product.
