Der « Erfinder » T.A. Breaux kommt aus New Orleans, wo Absinthe vor dem amerikanischen Verbot von 1912 ähnlich beliebt war wie in Europa. Die Rezeptur basiert nicht auf einem alten Rezept, sondern ist eine Neukreation, die sich aber durchaus auch in den alten Tagen großer Beliebtheit erfreut hätte.
Bei einem Absinthewettbewerb im Juni wurde dieser Absinthe von deutschen Kennern zum besten Absinthe der Welt gekürt.
Alle Zutaten sind sorgfältig geprüft worden und nur die besten Kräuter und der beste Rohalkohol (Marc du Vin) wurden verwendet. Destilliert wurde Nouvelle Orleans auf einer originalen Pernod Fils Destille aus dem Jahr 1870. JADE Absinthe enthält weder künstliche Farbstoffe, noch Zucker!
Alle Flaschen sind per Hand abgefüllt, verkorkt, versiegelt und gestempelt.

Quality and complexity
Top of the line and pure quality it is said, and I don't disagree. But I must confess that I probably have to learn to appreciate the floral notes some more. They are certainly not overwhelming in any way in Jade Nouvelle Orleans, but to date (aug 2011) I have to say that my own 10 points goes to Matter-Luginbühls Duplais Balance.
Balanced and superb
I really can't find anything wrong with this absinthe. I've tried many other great absinthes including most (if not all) of the other Jade varieties and Nouvelle-Orléans is the most balanced with no negative aftertastes. It is smooth with a nice floral note with a nice clean aftertaste. Jade put some research into developing this!
Heaven
The taste of this absinthe is fantastic. Easy to falling in love with this absinthe. The taste is very complicated to explain simply perfect. You can use it also for cocktail mixed. Absolutely stunning!
